Arooba Syed

Arooba is passionate about helping people reach their full potential and live their most fulfilling lives. She provides a holistic approach and has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in therapeutic and case management roles in the community and educational settings.


Arooba uses a culturally sensitive approach, which includes a variety of therapeutic modalities in keeping with current evidence-based practices. She is fluent in Urdu and Hindi and conversational in Punjabi. Arooba has a warm personality and offers an approachable and non-judgmental space for her clients.


Her Clinical Modalities Include:

  • Brief and Solution-Focused Interventions

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy)

  • Crisis Intervention

  • Cultural Safety Models

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Narrative Therapy

Arooba holds a Master of Social Work from University of Toronto and Honours Bachelor of Social Work from York University.
